Farewell My Friend: The Romance of Romeo and Juliet was (re)discover theatre’s initial version of Farewell My Friend. This production allowed the audience to submerge themselves in an immersive, promenade experience that traveled throughout multiple rooms. Upon entering, audience members were fated to follow either Romeo or Juliet through the rollercoaster of Shakespeare's story. The tale of Tristan and Iseult paralleled, and helped drive, Romeo and Juliet's journey. This production laid the frame work for the fully immersive, free roaming production the following year.
